STS 2030 @ Swiss Green Economy Symposium

1st of September 2020 | Winterthur

STS 2030 was present at this year’s Swiss Green Economy Symposium with the motto “Sustainability through Dialogue and Self-Will”. The event with around 900 participants and 170 speakers was an ideal setting for the first live presentation of the program Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030.

At the innovationsforum “Rethinking and Optimizing Global Supply Chains – Lessons from the Textile Industry” the program STS 2030 was presented to the participants. The program’s approach was received very positively by the audience.

With Nina Bachmann (Swiss Textiles), Pierre Strub (amfori) and Philipp Scheidiger (Swiss Fair Trade) as well as Tobias Meier (ecos) all present at the forum, the topic was also discussed in more depth with different stakeholders after the event. Importantly, representatives of the SECO and the BAFU, both part of the steering committee of STS 2030, were also present at the event and could add the perspective from the state to the discussion. This allowed for valuable feedback and a source of inspiration to the program STS 2030.
