GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the leading standard for organic textiles, including ecological and social criteria, tested along all processing stages.
The offer
GOTS sets requirements for working and social conditions that are equivalent to those of leading social sustainability standards (ILO, UN GPBHR, OECD). The GOTS criteria cover the most important human rights risks such as forced labor, child labor and discrimination in the textile sector. The criteria set requirements for working conditions and address the payment of fair wages. As of version 7, GOTS sets due diligence requirements, detailed information can be found in the toolbox under “GOTS - Due Diligence Handbook for Certified Actors”. The handbook provides GOTS-certified companies with clear guidance on how to integrate due diligence processes into their operations and supply chains and supports them in complying with national due diligence laws such as the German Supply Chain Act and the upcoming EU law.
