bluesign® SYSTEM
The bluesign® SYSTEM is a systematic approach with the aim of minimizing the negative environmental impact during the entire production process.
The offer
The bluesign® SYSTEM eliminates harmful substances right at the start of the manufacturing process and sets and monitors standards for environmentally friendly and safe production. The so-called Input Stream Management ensures that all substances and raw materials used during the production process are already verified in the run-up to production. In other words, instead of testing finished products, the bluesign® system is used right at the start of production. This means that suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and brands must undergo strict tests to verify compliance with the bluesign® criteria. This ensures that the end product meets strict global consumer safety requirements and gives shoppers the confidence to buy sustainable products.
bluesign's full-service offering is based on a strong partnership that supports committed actors in producing more sustainably. In addition to the system partnership, actors have the possibility to book individual services to cover specific needs. These services include: Specialized training to educate employees and teams in the areas of sustainability and chemical management, support in the preparation of comprehensive sustainability reports that meet current standards and increase transparency towards stakeholders. As well as calculating the carbon footprint of products (Scope 1).
Committed actors are supported by the bluesign® SYSTEM in the areas of climate (Scope 1) and chemicals management.
